The Theodore Roosevelt Council operates 2 exceptional camping facilities, each offering unique adventures for Scouts and leaders alike. These outdoor program activities encourage self-reliance, self-confidence, and leadership, as well as enhance the traditional aims of Scouting: citizenship, character development, and mental/physical fitness consistent with the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

Experience the ultimate adventure at Onteora Summer Camp! We want to make your troop’s week at Onteora the highlight of your Scouting year—where excitement, skill-building, and time spent with friends come together. From new Scouts to veterans, everyone will find something to enjoy.
Located in the heart of the Catskill Mountains, Onteora Scout Reservation is affectionately referred to by those who have experienced the camp as the “Land in the Sky.” When you arrive at OSR, your unit will be met with a traditional greeting of “Welcome Home.”
